What happens after you ask for a moving quote in Calgary

- A visit, when your home in Calgary needs one. If the move is easier to price in person, we come to see it. The visit is free. Outside Calgary, we price the move without a visit.
- Your quote. After a visit, your quote usually follows within 24 hours. It's a free quote, and it sets out how the move is priced.
- You book. When the quote suits you, we book your date.
How it's priced
What your moving quote in Calgary is based on
Your moving estimate starts from our hourly rate: $150 an hour for two movers and a 26-foot truck, with a 3-hour minimum and a 1-hour truck and travel charge inside Calgary, $50 an hour for each extra mover or truck, plus GST. On top of that, the quote reflects:
The size of the move:
how much is moving and how many movers it needs.
Access at each end:
stairs, elevators and how far the truck can park from the door.
Furniture that needs taking apart:
beds, tables and similar pieces.
Travel:
outside Calgary, the round-trip drive from our Calgary base, and for long-distance moves the drive both ways plus a fuel surcharge.
Packing:
if you'd like us to pack, the time goes into your quote, and our plastic bins rent for $4 each plus GST within Calgary, Airdrie, Chestermere, Cochrane and Okotoks, or sell for $15 each plus GST for moves out of that area.

Yes. Every quote is free, and so is the in-person visit when your home in Calgary needs one.
Do you need to see my home?
Only when your home is in Calgary and the move is easier to price in person. We decide that with you when we follow up. We make home visits in Calgary only.

After an in-person visit, your quote usually follows within 24 hours.
Is the quote a fixed price?
No. We bill by the hour, because the time a move takes depends on how much is moving and how the homes are laid out. Telling us about stairs, long carries and furniture that needs taking apart keeps your quote close to your final bill.
