Privacy policy

What we collect

• When you ask for a quote: your name, email address and phone number, how you'd like us to contact you, your company name and who to bill for business requests, and the details of the job, such as addresses, dates, the names and phone numbers of the contacts at pickup and delivery, what's moving or shipping, and anything else you type into the form.
• When you send photos with a moving quote request: the photos you choose to attach to the form, up to three, and any more you email us.
• When you call, text or email us: your contact details and what you tell us about the job.
• When you browse this website: which pages you visit, how you found the site, the kind of device and browser you use, and your approximate location, worked out from your internet connection. This comes from Google Analytics, described below. It doesn't include your name or contact details.

How we use it

• To answer your request: we email you a copy of it, prepare your quote and follow up with you by phone, text or email, as you prefer.
• To see the size of your move and price it, using any photos you send us.
• To book and carry out the job, and to keep the business records the law requires.
• To see how people use this website, so we can improve it.

Asking us for a quote lets us reply to you about that request. We don't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing emails unless you ask us to.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the companies that run parts of our business for us, and only what they need:

• Netlify hosts this website and receives the forms you send, including any photos you attach.
• Resend sends you the email copy of your request.
• Google provides our email and Google Analytics.
• Storage providers, if you ask us to arrange storage, receive your name, contact details and what's being stored.

We also share information when the law requires it.

Analytics, ads and cookies

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people use. We don't send Google your name, email address, phone number or anything you type into our forms. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. To turn off Google Analytics on every website you visit, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Cookies

Google Analytics uses cookies, small files stored in your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings, and this website still works without them.

Where your information is stored

Netlify, Resend and Google store information in the United States and other countries outside Canada. There, it is subject to those countries' laws and may be accessed by their courts and authorities. If you have questions about how these service providers handle your information, contact our owner, whose details are below.

How long we keep it

We keep your request for as long as we need it to answer you and, if you book with us, to do the job and keep the records the law requires. Any photos you send are part of your request and are kept the same way. Google Analytics data is deleted automatically after no more than 14 months.

How we protect it

Only the people at Top Quality Movers Ltd. who need your information to quote or do the job can see it. Our service providers protect it with their own security measures, and this website uses an encrypted connection.

Seeing, correcting or withdrawing your information

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to our using it. Some limits apply: we keep the records the law requires, and without your details we can't quote or do a job for you. Email info@topqualitymovers.ca or call (403) 926-3894, and we'll answer within the time the law sets.
